Section 725. Prohibition against officers and employees being interested in contracts for materials, etc.

      No Commandant of the Coast Guard, superintendent of lighthouses,
    lightkeeper, or other person in any manner connected with the
    light-house service, shall be interested, either directly or
    indirectly, in any contract for labor, materials, or supplies for
    the light-house service, or in any patent, plan, or mode of
    construction or illumination, or in any article of supply for the
    light-house service.
